Why We Built This Site
Pennsylvania provides statewide public docket discovery, but the official file often remains with the court or county office that created it. The Prothonotary commonly holds civil and family filings. The Clerk of Courts keeps Common Pleas criminal records. The Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans' Court handle estates, guardianships, and marriage records. Magisterial District Courts and Philadelphia Municipal Court maintain their own case functions. Separate statewide systems include the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections locator and Pennsylvania State Police criminal-history repository. We organize these routes so readers can identify the correct resource in any of Pennsylvania's 67 counties.

- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
